Auto glass FAQs

Q: What’s laminated glass?
A: Laminated glass is a popular type of glass used for many front windshields. It is produced by bonding two glass panes to a thin piece of plastic (much like a sandwich), and the end result is an incredibly durable, shatter-resistant window that doesn’t splinter on impact.

Q: How often should I wash my car windows?
A: As often as they need it. Remember: most window cleaners contain chemicals that produce harmful fumes. When you are using these specialty cleaners, make sure that you do it in a well-ventilated area or outside.

Q: I just got a rock chip in my window. Should I fix it now or let it be?
A: If you fix rock damage right when it happens, it’s usually cheaper than if you wait for that chip to become a full-fledged crack.
